Taking a Jumpsuit from Day to Night.

Finding the right jumpsuit is actually a bit like dating – you tend to have to sift through lots of options that aren’t quite the right fit before you find the right match. And finding that match is never easy! There are a lot of factors that go into finding the right jumpsuit: the fit has to be right, both in size and length, and it’s gotta be both comfortable AND flattering.
And that, my friends, is why you have to hold on to those unicorn jumpsuits that find themselves into your life and wear ’em as many ways as possible.
Meet my latest find, this navy printed gem from Gap Factory:
Gap Factory Jumpsuit c/o // ASOS Sandals // Rebecca Minkoff Fringe Bag
// Ray -Ban Sunglasses // BaubleBar Necklace // Gorjana Bracelet
For a daytime look I kept things simple letting the jumpsuit’s pattern do it’s thing while channeling some California vibes for a bohemian feel with easy accessories that worked well for running errands around the city and catching up with friends in the park. Flat sandals and a cross body bag are a must for keeping an outfit fuss free and the jumpsuit stands really well on its own thanks to the all-over pattern and cinched waist (bonus points: it’s ultra comfortable and breathable!)
Gap Factory Jumpsuit c/o // Steve Madden Heels c/o // Topshop Blazer via Trunk Club
// Loeffer Randall Clutch // NARS Heat Wave Lipstick
For a night out I swapped out my flat sandals for a heeled option – this Steve Madden pair is a recent closet addition that I know I’ll be wearing all summer because the chunky heel makes them really easy to walk in while still adding some serious height. To fight evening chill and dress up the jumpsuit I layered on a white blazer – the collar-less cut feels more modern than preppy which works well for outside of the office.
Have you found your perfect jumpsuit yet? Anyone else kind of obsessed with the trend?
